Appreciate the honesty. After a mis diagnoses and astronomical quote for an alternator fix at the VW dealer, I called Adrian at Aamco and received a quote within reason. What really made my day is that after the initial test at aamco, there was actually nothing wrong with it. It was the battery. Went to oreillys and it was deemed defective and replaced at no charge! I called AAmco to get a second opinion on a repair that my dealership told me that I needed. (Major leak from the transmission cooler. Apx $2,500) I had been told. I called Dave. He said bring the car in I'd like to take a look at it. The diagnostic was free. Dave called me back a couple hours later to let me know that there was no major leak found and that the only low fluid level was my power steering. I will take all my vehicles to Dave from now on. It's nice to have a honest shop to go to. I recommend that you take your car's here as well.
